Efficency & suitability
The Silensor uses the anteriorisation of the lower jaw to prevent snoring, which means it pulls the lower jaw gently forward to open up the airways in the throat. Clinical tests have shown that this method reduces snoring by 90%. The Silensor will be effective if the noise during snoring is caused by an obstruction in the airway. It will not have any effect on an obstruction in the nose.
When you first wear your Silensor you will notice that the coverings over your teeth are tight so they cannot dislodge when you are asleep, so it is not possible to swallow it! After a few nights successive wear you won’t notice it in your mouth. What you will notice is the fact that you and your partner will have a much better night’s sleep!
There are two versions of the Silensor (pictured above), and the dentist will decide which is best for you. The appearance is much the same.
