Please follow the instructions on this page and any accompanying sheets you recieve with the device exactly as stated. It is also essential that you go through the insertion and removal instructions with your patient to avoid damage to the device.
Please insert the device as in the picture below. The appliance should be gently eased onto the arches by pushing the actual forming up or down. Damage will occur if it is not fitted in this manner.
In the same way as the device must be inserted gently, care must also be taken when it is removed. The most effective way is to use the fingers to pull the forming up or down at the gingival margins. Pushing or pulling the device with any force at the connectors or hinges is not advised and if removed in this manner, you can expect the connectors to stretch and break. (please see the pictures below for the correct and incorrect way to remove the snore guard.
The silensor device is very strong, and if moved correctly, as instructed, will last a manimum of six months. Damage caused by removing the snore guard incorrectly, can usually be fixed by returning the appliance to us, and we will charge to repair it. Please keep all models that are returned to you with the snore guard, so in an event that requires repairing or adjusting we can use the original models with the markings on them.
